I haven't blog in a really, really long time so here's the latest. The other day we took the kids to go pick out pumpkins which ended up being a blast. Jaden has this thing where everything needs to be the BIGGEST and STRONGEST so pumpkins were no exception. The second we got there he found the biggest pumpkin they had and wasn't leaving without it. Josh of course encourages this behavior might I add. Turns out someone earlier had broke the stem off the pumpkin so we ended up getting it for only $10, which you really can't beat. We also picked out mommy, daddy and Haley Bug pumpkins. We haven't had time to carve them yet but when we do I'll definitely post the pics 8-).

Memorial Day Weekend

Saturday Golds Gym in Spanish Fork had the fire department come by their daycare and talk to the kids about fire safety. Inside the daycare the fire fighters taught the kids some fire safety and showed the kids their cool face masks. Then when they were done all the kids got to go outside and see the cool fire truck. They even got to sit inside the truck and spray the water hose, which was the coolest. Jaden had a blast and got his very own fire hat at the end.

On Monday we went to the zoo with some of Josh's family. Because we had the GPS on I knew exactly how far away we had to park and walk and it was a whopping 1/2 mile just from our car the the zoo entrance gate. There was a TON of people there. Once we got inside it wasn't bad though. Jaden had a blast checking out all the animals and Haley seemed to enjoy sitting in the big girl stroller. As long as there's food Haley can have a good time anywhere. It's hard to believe our little girl is already ten months old!

Fun in the Sun

So poor little Jaden has been itchen to get outside lately and since Haley is sick today I let him play in the backyard for a little bit by himself. I'm totally paranoid so every five minutes I would yell out back "you alright?" and the little man would just yell "yes!" I'm sure I was bugging him but that's what moms do :) He is growing up sooo fast and although I'm convinced he is the busiest loudest kid in the world he is super sweet. He always says he loves you and has amazing manners. Little bug (aka Haley) is gonna be walking before we know it! Untill last week she was't crawling (but has been for the last four days or so) and would pull herself up to stand on everything. The doctor told me the other day that she was one of the most advanced babies he had seen in a year.......????Really???? Anyways it made me sad I don't want her to grow up fast!!! I want her to stay my baby. Jaden was walking at ten months and the first time around it kindof makes you proud but with Haley I've really just wanted her to slow things down a little bit. Anyways I love my kids!!!

Update

Last weekend my Dad and Cheryl took my kids and I plus my stepsister's family to see Walking with Dinosaurs. Jaden, obviously, had a blast. He loves dinosaurs anyway but to see them fighting and hear them roar was the ultimate! The whole time he kept asking when they were going to fight. Haley on the other hand pretty much slept through the whole thing except for the last little bit which she actually sat and watched to my amazement. A little while before she feel asleep Jaden had been roaring in her face which was making her cry so I was certain that when she woke up she was gonna freak.

Last night Josh and I got to walk through the Draper Temple before they dedicate it. It was amazing! There were different places that people would catch buses then drive up to the Temple in groups. We went as 7:20 pm so it was completely dark outside. As we got closer you could see the lights before the Temple. The Temple was also covered in fog which made it even more beautiful. That same night we had a hot date at the Marconi Grill. The food was great as always!

Jaden is growing up into quite the little man. He has been doing this thing lately where he stacks things or lines them up. He's pretty poud of the creations he makes :) He loves to hang on the back of Josh while he walks around the house. He also has this thing where he climbs up on his shoulders and just sits there. Even better he trys to scowl just like Josh. He's actually really good at it. Pretty much Jaden adores his dad which is adorable!

Haley rolls around everywhere and can get up on her knees and rock. She absolutely LOVES, and I mean loves, graham crackers. She also is really good and sitting up all by herself. She's our baby girl and has divtized our home :)

Framed

One more thing :) My Dad did some really cool collages of the kids with some pictures he took and I've finally framed them since Grandma and Pa Ackerman gave me some really nice 11 x 14 frames for Christmas, thanks again Ackermans!

It's finally done!

Yesterday Josh finally put the china cabinet together and I love it! It was hard to get good pictures of it and the china but I tried and here they are. Enjoy :)

P.S. Dad you finally get to see what your china looks like in a cabinet......sixteen years later!

Thank You Ackerman Family

My family and I have been very blessed to have such an amazing step family the Ackermans and I just wanted to say how thankful we are. They spoil my kids rotten! Here are just a few pictures of the kids playing with some of the toys they gave them.
