Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my Dad and Step mom Cheryl. All we had to bring was the punch and sparkling cider.........super easy! The food was delish and the table super cute :) Earlier in the week Josh's sister Emily (who watches Jaden and Haley in the week when I work) helped Jaden make a Turkey shirt as a surprise for Josh and I. The shirt was super cute (of course I cried) The Turkey is and imprint of his hand and he was real proud of it showing it to everyone. Later when we got home we put up the tree cause I couldn't wait anymore. We bought the tree after Christmas last year so we hadn't seen it yet and I was pretty nervous it wasn't gonna be cute. Once we started putting it up I could tell it was gonna be just fine. It pretty much touches our ceiling but it works!

Haley - all grown up!

So it's seems like my little Haley is growing up way too fast! Yesterday she rolled over all by herself for the first time! She has also started eating rice cereal, oatmeal, applesauce (usually in the rice cereal) and bananas. She is our super happy baby always smiling.

PoTty TrAiNiNg

So about this time last year Jaden started using the big boy toilet all on his own. He wasn't even two yet so we never pushed it and eventually he lost interest. I haven't wanted to push the issue cause most people I talk to say that boys usually potty train around three and Jaden is about 2 1/2. Anyways we've decided that since we know it's something he can do that we are gonna give it a try.............which means I have to take clean underwear and pants everywhere I go. Wish us luck! His other new adventure is playing with puzzles. He got a hold of some stickers too the other day which turn into quiet the clean up project.

Telos Turkey Tri and 5K

Such a Beautiful Smile!

So this Saturday Josh and I participated in the Telos Turkey Tri and 5K. Josh is amazing and helped me in the run. Instead of running ahead of me (like he could have) he stayed and ran with me.....He pretty much pushed me up the hill! At the end the people competing in the Triathlon were suppose to run one way and the people running the 5K the other. Well not too many people were just there for the 5K so I got confused and ran with everyone else and never crossed the correct finish line. The ankle monitor I was wearing said I did it 30:47 but it also logged me in the other events too as I was following Josh and watching him compete so if you look up my results for the race it looks like I did the Triathlon.....huge dork I know. But I'm pretty proud of myself I completed it. Josh didn't do too bad either his total time was 01:28 and that's with me slowing him down. He also competed on a mountain bike instead of a street racing bike. So now we're thinking about doing a race on Thanksgiving and maybe I'll try a triathlon soon...........

Halloween

Jaden didn't want to wear his mask. Mr. Independent!

So I haven't blogged for awhile, life's been super busy. Halloween was a blast! We went to Josh's sister Emily's house and ate a ton of her home baked sugar cookies (they are the best). Jaden went trick-or-treating with his cousin's Jax and Taeton who are somewhat close in age with Jaden. He is the youngest so he was pretty much running behind them the entire time trying to caught up. Haley hung out with Josh and I and helped case Jaden around.
