Christmas

Our Truck Completely covered in Snow!

So this year we celebrated Christmas two times before Christmas day. Once with my Mom and another with my Dad, Step mom and Stepsisters. By the time Christmas came the kids had already been spoiled rotten. If I thought our house was invaded by toys before I was wrong......it got worse :) This year we spent Christmas in Pocatello, Idaho with my Dads parents which was a blast. My Dad, Step mom, Uncle Chris and Aunt Helen were there also. Santa found Haley and Jaden despite the house being practically covered in snow! It must have snowed like 8" by the time we woke up and another 3" before we left. We actually drove home Christmas day which ended up being a super long drive. We had to pull someone out of the snow on the freeway (who happened to pass by us just a little bit earlier cause they thought we were driving too slow). Jaden got a wooden train from Santa and Haley got a giraffe ball popper. They got a ton of other stuff including a huge Black and Decker work bench for Jaden from my Dad and a walker for Haley from my Mom.

Toy INVASION

We have been invaded by TOYS! I kid you not! Right now Jaden is hanging out watching Kung Fu Panada while Haley watches him in her Jumperoo......yes her favorite new past time is watching her brother, and yes we love it free entertainment. So I thought why not take this opportunity to clean up a little bit. There are toys everywhere! And while I was realizing that little Jaden has this thing where he needs his toys all over the floor....like his father, it dawned on me that my house has been invaded by children. Not only are there toys everywhere but there are enormous baby things everywhere too. I thought since I need to vent why not show you a few pictures of what I'm talking about. Keep in mind this isn't even everything there are a few more things in Haley's room but I figured with these pictures you would get the gist.

China Cabinet

When we lived in England about 15 years ago....geeeez I'm getting old! my parents bought themselves some china. They ended up getting a divorce shortly after we moved to America and my mom got the china. My mom never got a hutch or anything to put it in and I believe she's only ever had it out of the box just a few times. Well when Josh and I got married my mom gave us the china as a wedding present. Josh and I have been married about 3 1/2 years now and never even looked at the stuff! Recently we started looking and china cabinets and holy cow they are expensive. So we had an idea to look on ksl.com (well josh really had the idea) and ended up buying one for $175.00 that needed some work. I think we've had the thing for about a month now sitting in the garage. Recently Josh has been working pretty hard on it but it's time consuming. He has to sand it to get it ready to paint, then paint it, and then sand it again to give it that Antique look =). It sucks though cause there are a lot of spots that are really hard to get to. I wish I would have taken a picture before we started but here is a picture of what it looks like right now.

Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving with my Dad and Step mom Cheryl. All we had to bring was the punch and sparkling cider.........super easy! The food was delish and the table super cute :) Earlier in the week Josh's sister Emily (who watches Jaden and Haley in the week when I work) helped Jaden make a Turkey shirt as a surprise for Josh and I. The shirt was super cute (of course I cried) The Turkey is and imprint of his hand and he was real proud of it showing it to everyone. Later when we got home we put up the tree cause I couldn't wait anymore. We bought the tree after Christmas last year so we hadn't seen it yet and I was pretty nervous it wasn't gonna be cute. Once we started putting it up I could tell it was gonna be just fine. It pretty much touches our ceiling but it works!

Haley - all grown up!

So it's seems like my little Haley is growing up way too fast! Yesterday she rolled over all by herself for the first time! She has also started eating rice cereal, oatmeal, applesauce (usually in the rice cereal) and bananas. She is our super happy baby always smiling.

PoTty TrAiNiNg

So about this time last year Jaden started using the big boy toilet all on his own. He wasn't even two yet so we never pushed it and eventually he lost interest. I haven't wanted to push the issue cause most people I talk to say that boys usually potty train around three and Jaden is about 2 1/2. Anyways we've decided that since we know it's something he can do that we are gonna give it a try.............which means I have to take clean underwear and pants everywhere I go. Wish us luck! His other new adventure is playing with puzzles. He got a hold of some stickers too the other day which turn into quiet the clean up project.

Telos Turkey Tri and 5K

Such a Beautiful Smile!

So this Saturday Josh and I participated in the Telos Turkey Tri and 5K. Josh is amazing and helped me in the run. Instead of running ahead of me (like he could have) he stayed and ran with me.....He pretty much pushed me up the hill! At the end the people competing in the Triathlon were suppose to run one way and the people running the 5K the other. Well not too many people were just there for the 5K so I got confused and ran with everyone else and never crossed the correct finish line. The ankle monitor I was wearing said I did it 30:47 but it also logged me in the other events too as I was following Josh and watching him compete so if you look up my results for the race it looks like I did the Triathlon.....huge dork I know. But I'm pretty proud of myself I completed it. Josh didn't do too bad either his total time was 01:28 and that's with me slowing him down. He also competed on a mountain bike instead of a street racing bike. So now we're thinking about doing a race on Thanksgiving and maybe I'll try a triathlon soon...........

Halloween

Jaden didn't want to wear his mask. Mr. Independent!

So I haven't blogged for awhile, life's been super busy. Halloween was a blast! We went to Josh's sister Emily's house and ate a ton of her home baked sugar cookies (they are the best). Jaden went trick-or-treating with his cousin's Jax and Taeton who are somewhat close in age with Jaden. He is the youngest so he was pretty much running behind them the entire time trying to caught up. Haley hung out with Josh and I and helped case Jaden around.

Halloween

So as most of you know I am blessed to have a father who loves taking pictures. He recently got his new Canon camera so we took the kids to his house to have him take pictures of them in their Halloween costumes. Haley is a lady bug and Jaden is a skeleton. We even got a cute picture of Jaden holding Haley.

Another Haley Picture

Here is another photo that my Dad took of Haley when she was just a month old.

Great Gma & Pa Visit

Last Saturday Jaden & Haley's Great Grandparents (my Dads Mom & Dad) came to visit all the way from Pocatello, Idaho. They of course spoiled them. Jaden got a new book which he loves and a blue truck and Haley got a cute pink hippo. We ended up having lunch/dinner at Chuck -A-Rama where Josh decided to lecture Grandma about how Dr. Phil is evil and ruins people's lives....sorry Dr. Phil Grandma was out numbered. Anyways as Grandma would say it was a nice visit and we're glad we got to spend some time with them.

Jaden Riding his Bike

This is JOSH'S idea of taking Jaden out to ride his bike!

The Greatest Show on Earth

A few weeks ago we took Jaden and Haley to see the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Jaden ate cotton candy, popcorn and drank soda.......................and drank some more soda and ate some more cotton candy............... he seemed to enjoy the show too! I forgot how much fun the Circus really is! There was a lady hanging from her hair, seven motorcycles zipping around in a small circular cage, contortionists, tigers and elephants no bears but still oh my! There was so much more it was too hard to keep track of everything that was going on.

They grow up so Fast!

I can't believe how grown up Jaden seems since Haley has been around. He is talking in full sentences and his newest word is "oh". He'll ask a question or you'll tell him something and he responds real casual with just an "oh.........." The other day he helped me make dinner by peeling the corn and just a few minutes ago while I was typing this he decided he needed to look out the window so he stacked all the books up so he could see. He's our little thinker. Haley is about 12 weeks old now and I caught her smiling with the camera for the first time the other day :) We also never sleep in our bed alone anymore! Jaden tends to wake up half way through the night and comes and crawls in the bed and Haley seems to sneak her way in some how too. One day we'll figure it out!

Haley

Haley had her 2 month check up today. She now weighs 10 lbs 12 oz and is 23 inches tall. It's amazing how fast they grow up. She smiles a lot and can hold her head up pretty good when she is laying on your belly. She had to get three shots today so right now she is taking it easy (shots suck!). Haley is an awesome sleeper she pretty much sleeps through the night except to eat. I'm posting a picture from her first few weeks home and one taken of her just the other day to show how much she's grown. It makes me sad :( but she's super cute so it's okay.

Old Man Josh

So let me if you will create the scene that just took place for me.I'm sitting on the computer doing my thing when my lovely husband walks in and asks me "Do you wanna know what I will look like when I'm older?" Of course I don't know what the heck he is talking about so I turn around to ask him and what do I see before my eyes........ Bald Josh! I about died! Anyways I made him let me take a picture to share with the world. Enjoy :)
P.S. He finished shaving the sides.

Here is my first blog attempt. I just love the pictures Kelly posted. I have been spending a lot of my time hunting or at work lately. For the last two weeks of my maternity leave I was chasing Elk. Now that I am back to work I am really back to work. I have one day off in 17 days. I did shoot an Elk however I was not able to find it until two days later. Very Frustrating! These pictures are of me hunting. One of me being frustrated and one of where I shot my Elk.

Baby Bear Continued

Despite the fact that we had plans this weekend Jaden decided to get sick so we spent the weekend trapped inside. Even though he didn’t feel well Jaden managed to keep Baby Bear entertained so I thought I’d show everyone how Jaden and Baby Bear spent their weekend. Jaden pretty much likes to let Baby Bear do everything Haley gets to do with the exception of the weights (the picture of Baby Bear with weights on top of him is suppose to be of him working out).
